Notes from Dr. Schwable about the course: The course will help students improve their skills at analytic writing
— the kind they do for their classes. In that sense, it’s a class in
sociological scholarship. In addition, the course will help students
learn how to use their sociological knowledge to write for the public.
So we’ll be covering everything from letters to the editor to op-eds to
blogs.
