Lavender Graduation – April 26th

All are welcome to participate in the GLBT Center’s annual Lavender Graduation ceremony on April 26th.

Lavender Graduation is an annual celebration intended to bring the entire GLBT community together to celebrate the success of our students. ANY GLBT STUDENT can participate in Lavender Graduation. (Students don’t need to have been involved in any GLBT student organizations or have engaged with the GLBT Center prior to graduation.) We invite all GLBT graduates to participate and be recognized.

If you will be graduating in 2017 (spring, summer or fall) and you would like to participate in Lavender Graduation, please complete the registration form by Friday, April 7.

History of Lavender Graduation

Lavender Graduation is an annual ceremony conducted on numerous campuses to honor lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and ally students and to acknowledge their achievements and contributions to the university. The Lavender Graduation Ceremony was created by Dr. Ronni Sanlo at the University of Michigan in 1995. The annual ceremony was created to recognize LGBT students and acknowledge their achievements and contributions to the university.
