Anthropology Club Announcements

Anthropology Club has a lot of great plans this October.  We meet on Wednesdays from 5:30-7 pm, usually in 129 1911 Building.  Note the service project too.  Please make plans to join us for any and all of the following:
10/10, Dr. Stevan Jackson will give us a presentation on ethnomusicology including bits from his own research.  He will be bringing some of his instruments and he’ll demonstrate.
Saturday, 10/13, 9 am – 12 noon – Oberlin Cemetery clean up.  We join the archaeologists every fall for this community service project in an important African American graveyard near campus.  Let Alison Greene or Club officers know if you need a ride
W, 10/17, Anthropology Career Night – Julianne Britt from the Career Development Center will come explore careers in anthropology with us, and share strategies for preparing for a job or graduate school starting now.
W, 10/24, Annual building of our Day of the Dead altar to honor our anthropological ancestors and other loved ones.  We will decorate sugar skulls and put together the display in the Atrium  that will be up until the first weekend in November.
