This course will explore: ways in which racism varies across time/space; historical legacies of American racism & colonialism w/in a global context; myths of racism and false parallels of racial inequalities; how politicians, corporations, popular media, and you think, talk, & feel about race and racism.

This course will count as a “SOC Elective” for Sociology & Criminology majors. It will count as a “Social Science” for Anthropology majors. We are also hoping it will be approved for US Diversity credit.
