The NC State History Department invites you to join us for History Weekend 2018, featuring Dr. Heather Ann Thompson, Professor of History at the University of Michigan and author of Blood in the Water: The Attica Prison Uprising of 1971 and Its Legacy.
History Weekend kicks off with a screening of the documentary “Ghosts of Attica” on Friday, April 13, at 7:30 p.m. in Withers Hall Room 140.
Thompson will give her lecture, “The Attica Prison Uprising and Why It Matters Today,” on Saturday, April 14, at 9:30 a.m. in Withers Hall 232A.
